paintball school is an activity for ages 10-16
Youth paintball activity every Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
Pre-registration for events is required through the booking system.
Junior paintball games are held every Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, March through November, in Juvanmalmi, Espoo. First-timers are also welcome to any game session, and you can participate whenever it suits you. Welcome!
Games are held on the indoor field at the beginning of the spring season, after which we move to the outdoor field when weather permits. During the fall season, games are primarily held on the outdoor field. You can play in any weather!
By registering in advance, you secure your spot in the games—spaces fill up quickly. Registration through the online booking calendar is possible up to 4 hours before game time. Later registrations can be made by phone or email.
Your own sports clothes that can get dirty work as game attire (or rental camouflage overalls available for €6/session). The outdoor field uses .50 caliber paintballs, and the indoor field uses rubber balls that don’t stain clothes with paint. We provide a loaner marker, protective mask, gloves, headgear, and game shoes for participants. Chest protectors are also available to borrow free of charge if hits worry a first-timer 🙂
The program includes a light warm-up, a couple of technical drills related to competitive paintball, and of course plenty of fun playing together. Usually, young people quickly get excited about paintball, which is why we offer multi-session cards at a great price!
Instructors from the Urho Paintball team are always on-site to guide you, so young players don’t need any prior experience with the sport to join this new and exciting activity. Here you can learn paintball safely and in good company with friends your own age.
You’ll need your own water bottle and warm-up outfit, plus clean sneakers for indoor play. During indoor games, clothes don’t get dirty while playing because the indoor field uses reusable rubber balls. You’ll get a loaner paintball marker, protective mask, and balls on-site.
In junior games, as in paintball generally, players must wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants. Playing in a T-shirt or shorts is NOT allowed.
REASONS TO JOIN
Paintball is a sneakily athletic activity (exercise happens almost without you noticing) and on top of that, it’s really fun! You can participate at your own fitness level. You can be a fast runner or focus on accuracy and support your team.
You can join us for a fun activity regardless of gender or fitness level. About 20 participants have attended per game session, and first-timers are welcome at any session.
The event is led by a long-time professional who advises and guides young players. This way you’ll quickly learn the secrets of the sport from veterans and develop as a player. Playing becomes even more fun when you know the techniques and tactics!
DO PARENTS NEED TO COME?
A parent should come along for the first session. After that, they can stay home or come watch the games—you can also wait in the Paintball Center’s heated waiting area during games. We recommend joining the email list, where we share current information about Tuesday games.
CAN I PLAY WITH MY OWN EQUIPMENT?
Yes and no.
During practice sessions, we play with house markers so equipment is equal among players.
Using your own protective mask is allowed if your mask is designed for paintball use and safe to use. The protective mask must be intact and sufficiently protective in our instructor’s opinion. Active players are encouraged to get their own game equipment, for example from Sissos store, which you can conveniently visit even before games.
If you have previous game experience, that experience alone gives you a big advantage in the games.
Using your own soft elbow and knee pads is also allowed.
