The Juvanmalmi playing fields use smaller (.50cal) balls (recommended minimum age 12 years). You can feel the hit, but it doesn’t hurt much. However, a small reddish mark may remain on the skin. If you want to avoid marks completely, choose the painless Gelblaster gel ball games.

A regular paintball (.68 cal), used at Sissos Arena, the competition field, and rentals, hurts quite a bit (recommended minimum age 14 years). Additionally, hits may leave bruises, especially from close range.

If you’re unsure whether the hit will hurt too much, choose a .50 cal or Gel Blaster game event at Juvanmalmi.

Alcohol consumption during the event is not prohibited for adult players, but we recommend saving drinks for after the games. Having a couple of beers between games is not a problem, and bachelor parties are one of our major customer groups, especially in summer.

Sissos does not have a liquor license, and alcoholic beverages are not available for sale. Bringing and consuming your own alcoholic beverages is permitted. At Juvanmalmi, we provide a refrigerator for storing them. Please keep in mind our young customers, as there may be several on our playing fields during the day.

Our game instructors have the right to deny a player’s right to play if they are unable to follow the given instructions.

Yes. Bringing your own snacks is allowed at our playing locations. You can also rent a grill for the game event. We sell non-alcoholic soft drinks in case you get thirsty during the game. The Paintball Center has a meeting room that can be rented for post-game meals, for example, and many people order pizzas for after the games.

We currently do not have sauna facilities available. At Juvanmalmi, you can refresh yourself after the games in the shower facilities, which are available to our customers free of charge. The facilities have hair dryers. Bring your own towel or rent one for €2/person. Sissos Arena forest field does not have washing facilities. For indoor games, come prepared with clean sneakers or indoor shoes and long-sleeved and long-legged loose athletic clothing (e.g., hoodie and sweatpants). The indoor field ammunition does not leave marks on clothing. For outdoor games, you’ll get camouflage overalls from us, and we recommend layering underneath in cooler weather. You can also get overalls for indoor games if needed, but the most comfortable game outfit for indoor games is your own clothing.

For the Konala forest field, you should also bring sturdy footwear suitable for moving in the forest.

Note that you may sweat while playing, so it’s good to bring a change of clothes.

Yes and no.
In open games, you can play with your own game equipment at Sissos Arena and the competition field.
In guided games, house guns are used so that the equipment is balanced among players.
Using your own protective mask is allowed if your mask is designed for paintball use and safe to use. The protective mask must be intact and sufficiently protective in our instructor’s opinion.

The Paintball Center at Juvanmalmi has a meeting room that can be rented (e.g., as a party venue for birthdays, a gathering space for a company or sports club before or after games). The meeting room has a microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and if needed, a kettle and coffee maker. Ask our customer service for more information.

The meeting room is not soundproofed, so sounds from other game events and other Paintball Center activities may carry into the meeting room. If your meeting room reservation is only after the games, you will have access to the room at the latest when the room reservation begins. If there are no other reservations for the room during your games, you may be able to access it in advance to prepare your own refreshments or decorate the space.

Sissos Arena in Konala does not have a meeting room.

Payment methods accepted: cash, debit card, Mobilepay, and the most common credit cards (Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard). We also accept sports benefits in the app and as sports vouchers (Epassi, Smartum, Tyky, and Edenred/Virike).

Possible invoicing for a company or association must always be agreed upon before the event.

For reservations made through the booking calendar, part of the payment is charged in advance as a reservation fee. Similarly, for reservations made by phone and email, we can send you the reservation fee as an email attachment. The reservation fee is credited toward the final event total.

We recommend contact lenses if their use is possible, as glasses may fog up inside the mask. Some glasses temples are also so wide that they do not fit under the mask.

We have a few wider-model masks that fit better on the head with glasses. Ask our instructor for advice if your glasses do not fit under the mask.

Yes! Winter playing is most comfortable on the Paintball Center’s heated indoor field.

At the Juvanmalmi harbor outdoor field, we can arrange winter games if weather conditions allow. At around 5-10 degrees below freezing, you can usually still play wonderfully, and thanks to the warm break rooms, you don’t have to be outside for the full two hours.

The recommended minimum age for .50 cal air markers used at Juvanmalmi is 12 years. The Konala forest field uses heavier equipment with an age limit of 14 years. The best way for a young person to try paintball is the paintball school held on Tuesdays.

We also offer lighter markers for game events where you want to minimize painful hits without compromising the fun of the games. Gelblaster is great for adults for this purpose. Birthday packages for young people are available from age 5 and up.

School sports groups and children’s birthday parties are very popular events. For these, we highly recommend the Juvanmalmi playing fields with smaller balls. A guardian must accompany anyone under 15 years old (1 adult per group is sufficient). For school groups, a class teacher/teacher is sufficient.

Cancellation terms in brief:

• no later than 14 days before the event starts €0
• later than 14 days but no later than 48 hours before the event starts by paying the reservation fee or 50% of the event price (whichever is greater)
• later than 48 hours before the reservation the full event price

Generally speaking, yes.

The paint in paintballs is water-soluble and comes off in normal washing. Light-colored clothing may have grease-like stains and dark-colored clothing may have light stains. We recommend washing stained clothes as soon as possible after the event, when the paint is still “wet” and comes off more easily in the wash.

If your group size is over 40 people, we can arrange extended playing time as a bonus. Contact our customer service and we’ll tailor a package to suit your needs. We have several playing fields of different sizes where we have organized successful events for both small and large groups.

You should arrive at the event location about 5-10 minutes before the event starts so that the event can begin at the agreed time. The instructor will meet you at the start of your reservation, and you can proceed through the checkout to equipment exchange. Our playing field often has events back-to-back, so we may not be able to extend the event duration due to a delayed start.

Get to know the sport in open games, where you can play with others. Games are organized for adults and young people weekly during the summer season.

All our event locations are accessible by car, and both Juvanmalmi and Konala have plenty of parking space. Charter buses can also turn around in the parking lot. The locations are also accessible by public transport.

We recommend carpooling to open games, which can have up to 100 players.
